More Convention Crap, 2009
Not much sleep, jet lag, fatigue, work to do…
But was it worth it? Probably. (What’s scary is that it isn’t everything, even.)
What I need you to do:
Got any questions for MELL or Yamakan? Let me know! I’ve been looking around but time isn’t on my side. Currently trying to push out that Yoko Kanno concert writeup before my memory rot away by Otakon… And yeah, I have been thinking of a way to ask about the whole Kyoani fallout, but that’s just bad taste, you know?
Do stop by and say hello if you want to grab me at the convention or something. I have my schedule set up and sans anything I don’t know about (and…there will be things I don’t know about happening that I have to go to) I will be most available on Saturday evening. Schedules are so worthless at this point in time anyways.
Maybe, just maybe, I’ll write something for the Nana Mizuki show too. It was quite the experience.
I do have a new idea brewing. I’ll probably push it out sometime later this year if I get all the help I need…

Wow, only two one hour sessions for Kikuko autographs? For 20,000+ attendees? She did that much at Animazment two years ago for only about 4000-5000 attendees. How many hours ahead are you going to have to get in line?
Hey I remember running into you on Rierie’s line at NYAF but we didn’t really talk for too long. Let’s do something Saturday.
Nice yukkuri.
@Basroil: There’s never that many people in line for autographs. Even the most popular guests have maybe 500-600 people in line and usually less.
@paranda: we sure could. Odds are I’ll be doing something at the karaoke area Saturday night after 9pm. But well, there’s my schedule up there so you can probably ping me in the MELL line on Friday or any of the major autogrpah lines (Yamakan, Inoue)
HOT CHICKEN BAAGAA
In light of some recent events, I am curious to know just how much control Kadokawa has over the creative process at Kyoto Animation.
As for the trip, holy hell, that’s a lot of CDs.
The CDs were cheap compared to the big ticket items I got on the trip…like that Live Diamond jersey :v Let’s just say that it’s a good thing I wasn’t able to hit up all the Mandarake in Tokyo and only 1 Book-off, LOL.
That’s a lot of stuff! Brings tears to my eyes… good job!
… Otakon, gotta figure out what I want to do this weekend. Thanks for the reminder! Also we got any plans for another impromptu anime blogger meetup/panel this year?
[…] the moment (ie when I get to Baltimor). Got inspired to plan my schedule after seeing Omo’s planning. Lucky him with getting to go Tokyo. I still miss that city after going there in May. Got a slight […]
Oh, Imo-chan.
When I saw her, I couldn’t resist. However I think the problem was that nobody really cared for the robotic/moe exterior. If they had a 1:1 Imoko figure or plush, it would’ve sold much better.
Updated the schedule…
