Anime Boston 2009 Day 1

Just wasting away at Chris B’s panel. It’s definitely THE state of the industry panel to be in!
Anyways–
Woke up at 5 am. Jabel and I are damn troopers I tell ya.
Got registered pretty quickly, and had some time for breakfast! I guess that’s what 2-3 hours of sleep trades for at a con.
At the opening ceremony most of the guests made an appearance, but they mixed up Veronica and Laura’s intro clips. Kalafina is cute! I guess.

Aniplex panel is mostly marketing but also very informative, good Q&A. An producer and an Aniplex exec were there, IIRC. Freebies were given away. I asked a question about Xam’d and got the press line.
The autograph session was uneventful but well run, I guess. Photos coming soon I hope.
And then Kara no Kyoukai episode 5 presentation. Very awesome. High def projected from a PS3, the Japanese crew were there. And it is awesome! Awesome! Hopefully more to come.
There were dinner, and seeing Toole and Surat in Anime Hell THREE DEE.

I will be very disappointed if KnK 5 (or 6) isn’t screened in HD at Otakon.

No, I stated too broadly–just a couple Aniplex guys were there, but it’s not like I know for sure if they were there and were just hiding in their posse. I don’t think anyone from ufotable was actually there?
