I was trying to come up with a funny and degrading retort for you, but while thinking about it I realize that was what Ranka and Sheryl did throughout the show. It’s as if they were both workaholics and after various ups and downs realized family and friends are what’s good in life. And obviously I have little complaint against a threesome. More the merrier as they say.
A threesome/harem ending would be nice to see, but they almost never go for that option in anime (well, non-adult anime at least), despite how nice - and in many ways unpredictable that’d be
